MonogrammedEverything Hits the Beach!!

I'm thoroughly enjoying beach week and wanted to share some pics with you!! The kids are having an absolute blast and so are the hubs and I. We have only 2 more days to go....sigh. I think our swimming, flipping, diving etc skills have improved two-fold since our arrival in paradise 5 days ago.  Well, we're assisted quite a bit by Daddy and Grandpa. Mommy has been lounging on her monogrammed beach towel quite a bit!

As ashamed as I am to say this, though we are right on the beach, we have been only 1 day. The kids are terrified of jellyfish and there is no shortage of them this year! Ugh!

Another fab thing about vaca? Two date nights with the hubs in 1 week! You've gotta love that :)

We'll be back soon...just in time for the Fourth and Fireworks and of course back to making some super cute monogrammed gifts!!

Love, Love, Love the 4th!!

Am I the only person who just loves 4th of July?! I'm making some super adorable patriotic tutus tomorrow...pics to follow! Has me thinking of that BBQ and day of fun...let the planning begin!  Yummy food, cute decorations and of course beautiful fireworks displays! My fav go to person for this yearly celebration is of course Martha, many do it yourself ideas with great instructions...and patriotically adorable EVERYTHING. Here's a glimpse of what I'm planning...and of course actual my house adaptations will be shown after the 4th! I'm sure Martha does it better...but...she's Martha. I'm okay with that ;)

Personalized Aprons & Summer Fun!

If you're like me, you're itching for that first summer BBQ...maybe you already had it this past holiday weekend?! There's nothing better than a fun backyard BBQ, especially when done in s-t-y-l-e! Personalized aprons anyone? How cute are these??

Aprons not really your thing? That doesn't mean there needs to be a lack of fun and style at your shindigs! Check out the personalized kitchen, serving etc items on deck this year!

Looking for some yummy new summertime recipes?? Here's one of my favs!!

GRILLED SALMON SKEWERS!!

If you can find (or grow) them, use sturdy rosemary branches, stripped of leaves, as skewers for these Italian salmon kebabs; they’ll add a subtle, smoky flavor that hints of pine. Oil your grill well to prevent sticking, don’t move the kebabs around unnecessarily and keep a close eye on the fire to avoid flare-ups.
Prep Time:30 minutes
Ready in:30 minutes
Yield:4 servings, 2 skewers each
Ease of Prep:Easy
Recipe Ingredients
 2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
 2 cloves garlic , minced
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
 1 teaspoon lemon juice
 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 pound center-cut salmon fillet , skinned (see Tip) and cut into 1-inch cubes
 1 pint cherry tomatoes

Recipe Directions
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.
  2. Combine rosemary, oil, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Add salmon; toss to coat. Alternating the salmon and tomatoes, divide among eight 12-inch skewers.
  3. Oil the grill rack. Grill the skewers, carefully turning once, until the salmon is cooked through, 4 to 6 minutes total. Serve immediately.
Prepare the skewers (Step 2), cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Proceed with grilling (Steps 1 & 3) when ready to serve.
